Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos was offered a new contract by club president Florentino Perez who feared he will be kicked out of the club if he sold the defender.
Ramos was reportedly keen on a move to Manchester United as he was feeling undervalued at the club.
The defender was unhappy with the club for not offering him a new contract like his teammates, Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Luka Modric.
In a sudden turn of event, the club have informed Ramos that he will not be allowed to leave instead offering him a contract worth €9m a year.
