US women soccer star is engaged

Women’s soccer pro Megan Rapinoe  just got hitched to her long-time girlfriend, Sera Cahoone.

Rapinoe announced her engagement to Sera Cahoone via Instagram on Friday, Aug. 7

She has always been one of the sports world’s most vocal openly gay athletes since she came out in 2012 in an Out magazine article.

After being a part of the women's U.S. soccer team that won the World Cup just last month, she has something possibly even more exciting to celebrate as she engaged her long-time girlfriend SeraCahoone a Sub Pop recording artist.
