Ronaldo in November 2015 splashed £13.5million on a new private jet, Gulfstream G200.

Fortunately, neither the Portugal international nor any member of his family were on board the plane when the incident happened on the evening of Monday, September 26, 2016.

Only the pilot suffered minor injuries but he has been treated and taken care off.

According to a source, Ronaldo often rents the private jet to clients.

“The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them,” the source said.

“Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane. The incident had no major consequences.”

The private jet is a regular feature on Ronaldo’s Instagram as he uses it for long private trips usually during holidays.
