With Mitchell Starc yet to recover from a foot injury, RCB have called upon Jordan, who will fly out to India on Saturday.

Jordan will be available for RCB's remaining IPL matches from May 7.

"We are happy to support Chris in his decision to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016," England director of cricket Andrew Strauss said.

"Participating in the tournament will be a good opportunity for him to further develop his white-ball skills and experience."

The 27-year-old claimed six wickets as England finished runners-up to West Indies at the World Twenty20.

RCB are sixth in the eight-team tournament, with two wins from five matches.
