Despite the loss of his baby last week, Harry Arter still featured for Bournemouth in their 2-1 victory over Manchester United on Saturday, December 12.

The midfielder last week lost his baby daughter with his partner at birth but was in action for 86 minutes during the  home victory over Manchester United.

Bournemouth players wore black armbands as a mark of respect for Arter's loss during Saturday's win.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said it has been an emotional week for the 25-year-old.

"I think he's handled himself with real dignity throughout the process, and to play the way he did today, with the emotions running through his body, I can't credit him enough for that," Howe said.

Junior Stanislas opened the scoring by curling home direct from a corner in the second minute.

Marouane Fellaini equalized for Manchester United in the 24th minute with a scruffy finish.

Bournemouth however grabbed the winner in the 54th minute through Joshua King who struck from a well-worked corner.
