Super middleweight George Groves is set to return to the boxing ring after the loss the knockout defeat to Carl Froch.
A fight with has been scheduled for September 20 in a bout at the Wembley Arena in London.
26-year-old Christopher Rebrasse will be aiming for a historic rematch with Froch, they both two battle for Frenchman Rebrasse’s European super-middleweight championship and WBC world super-middleweight title.
Just coming out of a double knockout losses to Froch, Groves is dependent on a historic comeback. “It is great to be back at Wembley and back to world-class boxing.
“Last time I was here it didn’t go as well as I would’ve hoped but I think I have proved I belong here.''
Groves lost out in the eight round in a reverse bout with in May; Froch described the knockout punch as ‘the best he has ever thrown’ and Groves reveals: “Sometimes it takes just one punch and that is what ended my ambition to be world champion back in May but we are back on the road – the journey will continue.
He expressed optimism in the bout against Frenchman Christophe Rebrasse:“Win this fight and I am back in the picture, that is vitally important. I can’t wait to be world champion and it will happen in the near future. It is good to be back in boxing and back in at the deep end.”
