Dame Agatha Christie, author of over 80 novels and short stories was born on 15 September 1890 and she died 12 January 1976.

Agatha Christie was an English crime novelist, short story writer and playwright. According to Wikipedia, aside from her detective stories, she has written six romances under the name Mary Westmacott including Giant's Bread, but she is best known for the 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections that she wrote under her own name.

She is known as the writer of the world’s longest running stage play, mastermind behind countless murders, creator of world-famous detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
