Adana signs journeyman Henry Onyekuru on a season-long loan
Henry Onyekuru will play in the Turkish Super Lig next season after Adana Demirspor snapped him up.
Onyekuru has put pen to paper on a season-long loan that will see him leave the Greek side, Olympiacos for Demirspor until the summer of 2023.
Demirspor also have the option to make the transfer permanent if the Nigerian attacker impresses the club during his loan.
"Our club signed a 1-year rental agreement with Henry Onyekuru with an option to purchase," the club stated in a statement.
The latest move by Onyekuru sees him leave Olympiacos just a year after he joined the Greek champions from Turkish giant, Galatasaray.
The 25-year-old has struggled to find a home since leaving Belgian club, Eupen, and last season, failed to impress in Greece.
Onyekuru failed to register a single goal for the club in 14 appearances, managing just five starts.
Adana Demirspor has won the race to take him up on loan, seeing out competitions from fellow Turkish clubs, Besiktas and Galatasaray, where Onyekuru has enjoyed loan spell on three occasions.
He will be looking to impress his latest employers who will be looking to improve on their ninth-place finish last season.
