No matter where you are in the world or who you are in the world, as long as you are a professional in any field, Monday is a struggle. From the moment you remember that the next day is Monday till the end of Monday, you just want to crawl up in a corner forever.

If you fall into this category, which is pretty much all adults, I have the perfect guideline to help bring about a nicer Monday:

  • Get some sleep: The number one reason why we don’t look forward to Monday mornings is because we spend the weekend trying to catch up with our social lives when we could be getting some quality sleep. enough rest means energy for the day/week.

  • Turn your jam on: Make a play list of some of your absolute favorite songs with a nice upbeat and play it while getting ready or on your way to work. That way you already put yourself in a great mood for the day.

  • To-do lists: Don’t overwhelm yourself with workloads. Instead prepare a handy and accessible to-do list that can help to make things visible and easy. You can go as far as arranging to-do lists according to categories. Like a to-do list for work, for the kids, for the spouse/lover and one for your social life.

  • Get a reward system: Rather than going through the same boring routine on Mondays, in fuse some life into your Monday by deciding to do something fun when you’re done with work at the end of the day. For instance, dinner with the boyfriend or a boy’s/girl’s night out won't be a bad idea.

  • Lean on someone: Sorry to burst your bubble but superheroes only exist on TV. No one can do it all by themselves, so don’t be afraid to ask for help from family and friends to assist you in any way they can. Also, it may help if you, at least, like the people you work with.

These guidelines aren’t restricted to Monday, as they are applicable to just about any day of the week. Aside from all of the above tips, just be mentally determined to survive Monday. All the best!
