Super Eagles group opponents reveal World Cup jerseys

Iceland will face the Super Eagles in their second group game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

International kit manufacturers Errea unveiled the World Cup jerseys for Iceland without the use of any of their star players.

The kit manufacturers posted a video on their official Instagram account to reveal the three kits for the Iceland national football team.

Iceland are drawn in group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup alongside the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Argentina and Croatia.

The home jersey

The home jersey for Iceland is an all-round blue shirt and kit, with a shady red design on the shoulder area, while the kit and national team logos have a touch of white.

The away jersey

The away jersey for Iceland combines all three colours (blue, red and white), It has a plain white front and back, while the red and blue design on the home jersey is replicated on the away strip.

The goalkeeper kit

The Icelandic goalkeeper kit is an all red front and back oufit with the same shoulder design as the home and away kits.

Chairman of Iceland's football association Gudni Bergsson, was pleased with the new jerseys.

He said "We are very happy with the outcome, considering all our needs for the design of the shirt, and it's cool."

The revealing of the Iceland jerseys come after Nigeria unveiled their jerseys for the World Cup which caused massive reactions on social media.

The Icelandic are expected to launch their jerseys in the upcoming friendly matches against Mexico on Saturday, March 24 and against Peru on Wednesday, March 28.

Iceland will be making its first ever first appearance at the World Cup, and will face Nigeria in their second group game at the tournament.
