Rohr calls up 23 players for Zambia clash, Iwobi returns

Super Eagles boss has called up the regulars including Iwobi for the game against Zambia.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria need a win when they face Zambia on Saturday, October 7 in Uyo to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

For the game, Rohr maintains the same squad he had for the doubleheader against Cameroon in early September.

Goalkeeper Dele Alampasu and Tyronne Ebuehi are the only omissions, dropping to stand-by list.

Arsenal star Iwobi who missed the doubleheader against Cameroon because of an injury is back in the squad. Daniel Akpeyi is also back in the team.

Captain John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Odion Ighalo, Leon Balogun are part of the squad as expected.

All invited players are to report to the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel in Uyo on Monday, October 2.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are top of Group B of the African zone qualifiers with 10 points while Zambia are second with seven points.
