The international break is over after Nigeria’s two friendly games against Poland and Serbia.
Theon Friday, March 23 in Wroclaw before their 2-0 defeat to Serbia on Tuesday, March 27 in The Hive Stadium in London.
As the Super Eagles go back to their respective clubs, we look at what you might have missed in these two friendly games.
Nigeria Vs Poland
1. Long sleeve jersey of Super Eagles home kits not available
It was cold in Wroclaw on Friday when Nigeria took on Poland but the Super Eagles could not get long sleeve jerseys.
Against Poland, a host of Super Eagles players wore long sleeve skins under their jerseys to fight the cold. Almost all of them also wore warm gloves.
Most of the Polish players, however, had long sleeve jerseys.
2. New jersey for Super Eagles
In case you missed it, the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the first time use their new kitwhich was unveiled in February ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup jersey.
The all dark-green kit used is the home kit unveiled by Nike and will be used at the 2018 World Cup.
3. William Troost-Ekong wearing the captain band
With Mikel John Obi missing and Ogenyi Onazi starting from the bench, defender William Troost-Ekong was given the arm-band.
This is a surprising decision because it was his central defensive partner Leon Balogun who wore the armband in the last two games against Algeria and Argentina in November. 2017.
It is not known why Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr gave the arm-band to Troost-Ekong and not Balogun.
4. Rohr taking notes
While it is normal to see coaches and managers take notes with a pen and paper on the bench, it has never been Rohr's style.
But against Poland, the Super Eagles boss was filmed taking notes with a pen and paper.
5. Ndidi taking long throws
Many might have also missed Wilfred Ndidi taking long throws into the opposition box. Long throws are not something Ndidi is known for but he did take a lot of them against Poland.
Nigeria Vs Serbia
1. Ighalo was back home, well sort of
Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo played the second 45 minutes of the 2-0 loss to Serbia and he was sort of playing at home also.
The Tuesday friendly game held at The Hive Stadium which is just a few miles away from Vicarage Road, home of Watford, Ighalo's former club.
2. John Ogu and Serbian goalkeeper Stojkovic meet again
As the players were returning to the pitch for the second 45 minutes, Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu and Serbian goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković were filmed exchanging pleasantries.
That was not their first meeting.
Ogu who plays in Israel for Hapoel Be'er Sheva played against Stojković when the goalkeeper was at Maccabi Haifa also in Israel.
Stojković was at Maccabi Haifa between 2014 and 2016 and within that period both players competed in the play-off for the Israeli Premier League.
3. London, home away from home for the Super Eagles
With the Nigerian community in London growing by the day, the Super Eagles played at home away from home at the Hive Stadium.
The Super Eagles had more support as the familiar chant of ‘all we are saying, give us one goal’ was heard.
4. Friends turn to foes
All friendship was put aside as the likes of Victor Moses and Ola Aina played against former Chelsea teammates Nemanja Matic and Branislav Ivanović.
Aina and Ivanovic were filmed catching up after the game.
5. Crowd invade pitch after the game
For Nigerians who couldn’t wait to turn off the TV after the match, there was pitch invasion from fans after the final whistle.
Fans left the stand to hunt for photos and selfies with the players.
