Ekiti state Governor officially declares to run for President in 2019

The governor has declared his intention to run for president on the ticket of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

This was revealed on the Governor's official Twitter page (@GovAyoFayose) where he posted a signed letter of invitation to a declaration ceremony where he'll make the announcement in person.

In the letter, the governor declares his intention to run on the ticket of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and pleads for support from party members for his candidacy.

The governor has long been known to eye the nation's highest political office as he has never made it a secret.

He has also been one of the most outspoken critics of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, publicly declaring to unseat the incumbent leader.
