A Biu resident, who did not want to be named, told Pulse that the casualty figure is in dozens - he could not give actual numbers.

The explosion was said to have occurred around 1 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2017.
Joint Patrols comprising the Civilian Joint Task Force, police and armed forces, are said to be currently ongoing in the area of the attack.

Biu is one of the few towns where terror group, Boko Haram has never captured and controlled.
But the terrorists attempted to capture the Biu Cantonment in 2015 but failed.
The attack, however, left many dead.
