Czech Republic photographer George Karbus has nabbed the coveted Under Exposed award of 2015's Outdoor Photographer of the Year competition.

Also nabbing the prize for the Young Photographer of the Year for her moonlit picture of a beach, was 15-year-old Anastasia Ziavra from Greece.
Meanwhile, seven other stunning photographs from 12,000 entrants have been named as finalists and the overall winner will be announced on February 13th at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show in London.
The overall winner from the adult categories, according to CNN, will win a place on a dog sled expedition to the Arctic in spring 2016.

The competition, which is in its 5th year, honors what organizers say is photography showcasing the magnificent diversity of our planet.
