Done in less than 10 minutes including cutting the potatoes, it's a fast way to satisfy hunger cravings and richly too. This recipe and tips for making and serving fries is filling and easy to make.
It's fine to use pre-cut potatoes (ones that come in a clear bag) or cut up potatoes into thin slices.
Here's what you need:
Ingredients:
- Potato
- (salt)
- Vegetable oil
- Baked Beans (I use Heinz baked beans)
- Tomato Puree/Ketchup
Directions:
1. Cut potatoes into thin (not so thin but not thick) slices
2. soak potatoes in water to get rid of excess starch( i add a bit of salt to the water)
3. Strain and dry the potatoes
4. Heat vegetable oil and fry the potatoes till they are golden brown
5. Set aside to strain the oil
6. Empty baked beans into a small sauce pan, and bring to boil for about 3 seconds stirring continuously then set aside.
7. Serve fries in portion you want and then the boiled baked beans by the side, drop just enough tomato puree/ketchup as well to form some sort of platter.
8. Eat each 'forkful' of fries with beans scooped up with ketchup...
It's filling, delicious and super fast to make
