The Silverbird Man Of The Year 2014 was held at the Eko Hotel convention hall, Lagos on the night of Sunday May 3, 2015 with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan taking home the biggest award of the night.

The Silverbird Man Of The Year Awards 2014 was held at the Eko Hotel convention hall, Lagos on the night of Sunday May 3, 2015 with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan taking home the biggest award of the night.

Other award recipients include Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Alhaji Ibrahim Waziri and Dr. Sam Mbakwe who were honored with the Silverbird Post Humous Awards which were received by their children and family members.

Alhaji Maitama Sule, Dr. Philip Asiodu, Dr. Gamaliel Onosode were honored with the Silverbird Lifetime Achievement Awards.

For their efforts in fighting back the deadly Ebola disease out of Nigeria, Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri, Dr. Jide Idris, Dr. Sampson Parker where all handed the Silverbird Special Recognition award.

The major highlight of the night was when the Senator-elect Ben Murray Bruce introduced what he tagged as the future of Nigerian automobile industry. Where he drove to the stage a blue and white SUV specially made by KIA motors to not use fuel, water, diesel but just solar and batteries.

In his speech, he mentioned the ned for sustainable growth and development and also a projection of the future of the Nigerian youth and children if nothing is done to address the level of hunger majority of Nigerians are going through.
