Here's how to keep tooth decay away in 3 steps

Flossing is essentially cleaning in between teeth to improve oral health but did you know there's a right way to do it?

Flossing is essentially cleaning in between your teeth which in the end helps you against tooth decay.

It's important to get through/in between the teeth to get rid of food items, sweets etc lodged into the area of the teeth that if left for a while decays and in the end bury holes into the teeth (teeth decay comes with eating too much sweets).

When you floss properly, you remove leftover foods from places toothbrush can't reach (brushing everyday doesn't guarantee clean set of teeth/great dental hygiene). Flossing comes strongly recommended by dentists who recommend doing it everyday.

A lot of people floss daily but they do it wrong, there's a right way to do it. Check the step-by-step guide below for flossing:

1. Tightly pull about 18 to 24 inches of your dental floss from the dispenser or grab the ones at your disposal

2. Wrap the floss (both ends of the dispensed inches) tightly around index and middle fingers otherwise work the one you have in a way where it's tightly held.

3. Holding the floss firmly (held around the index and middle fingers) around each tooth and move back and forth, up and down and in a pull and push way against the side of each tooth.

4. Otherwise hold the normal one like you would a toothbrush and work the floss end around as in (3) above.

Flossing regularly is helps oral and overall hygiene, never go a day without getting rid of trapped food to guide against plagues and decay.
