State agency rescue boy chained at a church

The reason for chaining the child at the celestial church remains a mystery, but security authorities are trying to unravel the motive behind the strange incident.

According to Vanguard News, the boy was “chained for several weeks at the Celestial Church of Christ (Key of Joy Parish), Ajiwo, Ogun state”.

Emmanuel Okeh, the spokesperson of the agency gave the information in a press statement released on Saturday, July 23, 2016.

The boy was rescued the previous day around 10:30 AM, report says.

No reason has been given concerning why he was chained at the time of this report, but relevant authorities have already began investigations into the matter.
