A father in Kenya has been arrested for raping his own daughter on New Year's day.

A Kenyan man who raped his 12-year-old daughter on January 1, 2016, has been arrested just as the girl is currently recuperating at Thika Level Five Hospital, reports Tuko.co.ke.

According to the girl’s mother, it was not the first time that her husband has raped one of his daughters as h has been taking delight in sleeping with his own daughters.

The woman told police that another of her daughters now stay with a relative after being raped by the father in 2014.

The latest victim narrated that on the day her father took her pride, she and her siblings were busy with some domestic chores assigned to them by their mother who was away.

But the randy father cleverly separated her from the other siblings by sending them to a nearby stream, instructing them to wash their clothes and take their bath before coming back.

When the other kids left, the man then called his target into the room and forcefully raped her, warning her not to tell anyone or he would kill her.

But the girl later reported the act to her mother who informed the police of the shameful act by husband and he was arrested while the girl was taken to a hospital where tests carried out on her proved she had been raped.
