Singer celebrates her 35th birthday ‘Soul Train’ style

Usher, Alicia Keys, P Diddy others don 70’s gear for Beyonce's soul train themed birthday bash.

Beyoncé celebrated her 35th birthday with her husband Jay Z, close friends and family and pulled out all the stops with a star-studded Soul Train-themed party with guests dressed in their best 70s attire dancing the night away to some old school tunes.

The pop diva who rarely misses a beat has been forced to cancel an upcoming show on her Formation World Tour. The hit maker was due to perform in New Jersey on 7th of September but is now on vocal rest per doctor's orders which led to the postponement of her concert but that didn’t stop her from partying hard with husband and A list friends who breezed into the New York bash in an array of colourful costumes, sequins and some serious wigs.

While Jay Z, who was giving some major Jimi Hendrix vibes, with a towering wig, bandanna and military-style jacket as they did a sexy version of the beloved TV show's line dance. Solange and Blue Ivy, looked adorable in a pair of light blue flares .Queen Bey herself looked smoking hot as she flashed her incredible legs in a pair of tiny glitter covered shorts which she teamed with a plunging flute sleeve top,

She later took the centre stage in a sparkling one-leg jumpsuit and height-boosting platforms. The Lemonade singer strutted her stuff on the dance floor with her husband of eight years.

Guests at the star-studded bash included Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, as well as Usher and his wife, Grace Miguel,Chance The Rapper, Janelle Monae, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, model Chanel Iman, former Destiny's Child members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, Diddy and girlfriend Cassie, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Serena Williams,Chanel Iman, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Lala & Carmelo Anthony and The Dream.

The Grammy winner later took to her instagram page to thank everyone for the birthday wishes with a picture video.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the beautiful and thoughtful birthday wishes," she wrote. "I am so fortunate to have the love and support of my family, my friends, and my hive. We've grown up together and you guys continue to inspire and motivate me everyday. I'm so grateful for every challenge, every smile, every tear, every discovery, every sacrifice, every triumph, every stretch mark, every kiss, every scar. I strive to make you proud.
