The romantic comedy premiere held on Saturday November 26, 2016, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

"The Wedding Party" premiered on Saturday November 26, 2016, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The star studded event saw the movie cast, special dignitaries and celebrities walk the red carpet including Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed, Kemi Adetiba, Banky W, Sola Sobowale, Ireti Doyle, Beverly Naya, AY, Emma OhMaGod and Zainab Balogun.

Others include Moses Babatope, Somekele Idhalama, Pastor Tony Rapu, Lanre Olusola, Patrick Doyle, Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Genevieve Nnaji, Chigurl, Omoni Oboli, Ifeoma McDermott, OC Ukeje, Rita Dominic, Kemi Lala-Akindoju, Noble Igwe, Toke Makinwa, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mimi Onalaja, Timi Dakola among others.

Directed by Kemi Adetiba, the romantic comedy which was first announced in April 2016 screened for the first time on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as a selection of the Spotlight City to City programme.

Written by playwright, Tosin Otudeko, "The Wedding Party", a collaboration between EbonyLife Films, FilmOne Distribution, Koga Studios and Inkblot Productions will debut in cinemas nationwide on December 16, 2016.
