Made In Nigeria Festival Day 1 [Photos]

The event took place at the Eko Atlantic with top government and private personalities well in attendance.

The Made in Nigeria Festival 2016 kicked off in a grand way at the Eko Atlantic City with public and private stakeholders in attendance to deliberate solutions to problems Nigeria faces in the areas of infrastructure, technology and power.

Speaking at the event, SSA to the Vice President on Trade and Industry, Jumoke Oduwole said that the MaIN Festival is topical because of the current situation of the country. The MaIN Festival is staged to create a platform for the maximum expression of the true Nigerian spirit and the creative ingenuity of development of Nigeria.

The First panel discussed Doing Business In Nigeria with panelists such as Sola Adekoya (CEO Konga),  Joseph Tegbe (KPMG) , Bode Agoro (PS Lands Registry, Lagos),  Olabintan Famutimi (President, Nigeria-America Chamber of Commerce), Col Charles Indigie (Coordinator South-West Nigerian Customs), Ahmed Bashir (UK Consulate) The session was moderated by Iyadunni Gbadebo (MD BVG Limited) while it was chaired by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman House Committee on Environment.

The afternoon session featured a video screening to the guests showing the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo addressing delegates on the importance of the festival and how it relates to economic growth in line with the government's unending efforts to improve the state of the country's economy.

The objective of MaIN Festival is to showcase a international festival of ideas, innovation and power generation  to facilitate trade and commerce in five sectors; power and infrastructure, agricultural business, technology, manufacturing and sports and entertainment.
