Popular Bollywood actor passes away
Veteran Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor has passed away at the age of 79.

His death was confirmed by his nephew Randhir, who said the actor passed away in Mumbai on Monday, December 4, 2017, after battling kidney problems for several years.
Kapoor started his acting career as a child actor in the 40s and starred in popular films such as "Aag" and "Awaara."
He landed his first lead role in the award-winning 1961 movie "Dharmputra." His other movies include "Jaanwar Aur Insaan" "Kabhi Kabhie," "Trishna" and "Kaala Patthar."
The late actor got married to fellow actor Jennifer Kendal in 1958. He quit acting in the mid-80s after the death of his wife from cancer in 1984.
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to offer his condolences, tweeting about the late actor's versatility.
Kapoor was born into a movie family. His father Prithviraj Kapoor was an actor and playwright, who starred in the plays that focused on the plight of refugees.
Sashi Kapoor is survived by three children Kunal, Karan and Sanjana.
