Nails Development Deal With BET Network

Is the actor giving well acclaimed Tyler Perry a serious run for his money!

Morris Chestnut is slowly but surely becoming a strong force to reckon with in Hollywood as not only an actor but also a director and film producer. Now, Black Entertainment Television [BET] is reportedly in talks with the actor for a development deal which will include creating new TV Shows and more films.

According to Euroweb, BET is currently expanding its network with several new and upcoming shows which will showcase actors who are very well known in the African American community, including Morris Chestnut.

The actor, who featured in “Kick Ass 2” and Best Man Holiday, closed a development deal with BET last week, according to Humor Mill Magazine. The deal includes a show that Chestnut will both star in and develop; while also developing other upcoming projects with the network.

Chestnut has continued to push his production skills behind the scenes on the hit film “Takers” – also starring Michael Ealy and Idris Elba, and as well known, he also Executive Produced the film “Not Easily Broken” which he starred in alongside Taraji P. Henson.

Do you guys think the handsome Morris Chestnut could be a better actor, director or producer? Are we looking at another Tyler Perry here?
