For every good song he puts out there it seems he makes a bad public move. With his latest legal troubles, Burna Boy comes off as the tortured genius whose potential is blocked by his demons.

I was at the 2012 Headies and saw everyone in the entire hall stand up when Burna Boy performed 'Like To Party'. This was the year Wizkid swept all the awards and Davido won 'Next Rated'. Even with the big names, present Burna Boy stood out.
His constant attraction to things that would get him into trouble has held him back from fulfilling his potential. Burna Boy's talent is immense but we all know the talent is not enough. You need dedication, hard work and the grace to carry what you have inside you.
All these elements are missing in his game right now because he is focusing his attention on unproductive things.
Burna Boy is about to release his second album. This is time for him to make a statement and show his intention that he is ready to be serious about his career and life. He does need to be tangled in a scandal like this.
If Burna Boy plans on being in the game for long, he needs to stay out of trouble at all costs.
