Catholics join new way of worshipping God
As Nathaniel Bassey's #Hallelujahchallenge comes to an end, Youngandcatholicng has jumped on the online fellowship bandwagon with the Rosary challenge.
It is the rosary challenge, which will take place live on Instagram by 8 a.m every morning.
This was announced by Young & Catholic Nigeria via it's Instagram page.
It read, "Good Morning Instagram! In the spirit of the Marian Year 2017 (100 years of the appearance of Mary in Fatima, Portugal) we decided to invite you all to pray the rosary with us daily live on Instagram! Starting today until the end of the Marian year, we will pray the rosary on Instagram Live at 8 am West African Time!! So if you find it difficult praying the rosary or just want to hang out with Mary or you want to pray as a group, join us every day at 8 am! We'll be praying for you and see you live soon!"
It started on June 23rd and will end in October 2017.
This rosary challenge comes just as the extremely popular #Hallelujahchallenge by gospel artist, Nathaniel Bassey, comes to an end.
His 30-day challenge started on the 1st of July. It managed to gain a lot of attention, which led to huge numbers of online worshippers.
The fact that the rosary challenge is starting this soon after the Hallelujah challenge has led many to speculate that the Catholics might be copying the gospel singer.
As the name implies, Young & Catholic Nigeria is a group of young Catholics who care about improving their relationship with God.
Popular personalities like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu belong to this group.
