Magomed Khidirov, 34, a Russian imam was shot dead this morning while he was on his way to a mosque in Novy Kurush, Russia.
Imam shot dead by unknown gunmen
Khidirov who ran an online television channel, was also known for preaching moderate traditional Islam, particularly to the region's youth.

According to the ‘Investigative committee of Russia,’ Two masked men attacked and shot the imam while on his way to the mosque in Novy Kurush.
Similar killing was recorded 3 weeks ago, another imam was shot dead in Russia's Stavropol region neighboring Daghestan.
