In his entrance, the American rapper and his dancers emerged from prison cells in chains and he proceeded to perform ‘The blacker the berry’.

After this his set transformed to a bonfire surrounded by tribal dancers and drummers as he performed ‘Alright’.

At the end of his performance, the rapper stood in front of a giant glowing map of Africa marked with the word “Compton.”

His politically-charged performance was praised by many on Twitter including Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake and Trevor Noah.
