The Winter Olympics is however not popular in Nigeria and most African countries.

The Winter Olympics feature sports on snow and ice which are associated with the Winter Season which is not in Nigeria.

Three women, however, are looking to become the first Nigerians at the Winter Olympics.

Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga are aspirant for the Nigerian Women’s Bobsled team.

These three women are aiming to be the first Nigerian representatives at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Funding is, however, an issue for them as they have set a go-fund-me account for people to donate to their cause

According to the trio, they need money to train, practice and purchase winter gears among other things.
