Sunderland manager says striker reminds him of a young Drogba

Sunderland manager David Moyes has compared Victor Anichebe to a young Didier Drogba after his brace against Hull City on Saturday, November 19.

“I’ve got to say Victor was very good,” Moyes said.

“He was a good team player for us and he was like a young Drogba at times for us (against Hull), he was that good.

“He’s been a bit unlucky with a few other chances but he’s helped us find a way to win (that) game (against Hull).

“When we’ve needed people that can finish we’ve had them.”

Anichebe who was signed this summer now has three goals for Sunderland.
