Police Commissioner allegedly issues arrest warrant for student leader
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, is believed to have issued a warrant of arrest for the Student Union President, Ojo Aderemi.
This came a day after an audio recording of an alleged phone conversation between the Police Chief, Mr. Adekunle Odude, and the Student Union Leader, Ojo Aderemi was made available to Pulse.
According to our sources at the school, the warrant may either be as a consequence of the audio we received, or as at the request of the school authorities.
We tried contacting the Police PRO in Oyo State, and left a message, and at the time of reporting this, there has been no response.
All efforts to also reach the Vice Chancellor have been futile.
The Student Union, led by Ojo Aderemi, called for a peaceful protest on Democracy Day to state their grievances against the school authorities.
What followed was the closing down of their school, the threatening of student's lives by the Nigerian Police, and now, an arrest warrant for the student leader of the University.
