It was gathered that Adewumi, the presiding pastor of a new generation church in the town, lured the girl into his room at No 2, Bolorunduro Street, and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

According to the police prosecutor, Simon Odoh, Adewumi was a serial rapist who preyed on innocent little girls.

Odoh added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

In his ruling, the presiding Judge of the court, Magistrate S. O. Agunloye, ordered that the accused person to be remanded in prison until the adjournment date fixed for May 4, 2016.
