Artist To Celebrate Wole Soyinka's Birthday With Play ' The Lion & The Jewel'

Thespian Family Theatre & Production presents   ' The Lion & The Jewel'. To mark the 80th birthday of the iconic Wole Soyinka, a stage drama will be performed to pay tributes to him.

The Stage Drama will be featuring Bayray Mcnwizu, Patrick Diabuah, Schibifa Doccubo and others. The event will take place at Terra Kulture & Freedom Park and will be showing in July and August.

The Lion & The Jewel is written by Wole Soyinka and directed by Toyin Osinaike. It is a stage adaption of the book " The Lion & The Jewel' by Wole Soyinka.

is a book that  chronicles how Baroka, the lion, fights with the modern Lakunle over the right to marry Sidi, the titular Jewel.
