Giwa FC goalkeeper dies after long battle with spinal cord injury

Timcy Baba as he is fondly called by his friends was first admitted into Bida hospital just when he sustained the injury. Although he was discharged later, the goalkeeper was back after suffering a relapse.

He has been ill as a result of the injury before his death.

The Media Officer of Giwa FC, David King confirmed the death of the goalkeeper to All Soccer Nigeria.

Giwa FC revealed that they are waiting for communication from the family of the deceased on the funeral arrangement.

Timothy was an important member of the squad that got promotion Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) three years ago.
