A little boy’s visit to the zoo went awry when a young lion pounced on him and grabbed him.

Luckily for 4-year-old Nikita, his mom was standing by and she grabbed him quickly from the animal’s grasp before any real damage could be done.

The incident occurred in Russia and many are wondering why the lion in question was not put in a cage instead of being left on a leash.
