Oparanozie Desire scored the winner for the Super Falcons in the second half to send the Super Falcons to the final.

“Our Super Falcons have made Nigeria proud again. The entire country looks forward to the #AWCON2016 Final on Saturday,” Buhari said via his official Twitter handle.

The Super Falcons will face host Cameroon in the final on Saturday, December 3.

Senate President Bukola Saraki also sent out his congratulatory message to the team.

“I congratulate @thenff #SuperFalcons on making it into the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Finals on Saturday. Go for gold!,” Saraki said also on Twitter.

The Super Falcons have played in eight AWCON finals and have won all of them.
