Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has revealed that he will be select the best players from the Nigeria U-23 team for next year’s African Nations Championships in Rwanda.
The Samson Siasia led team will kick of their Africa U-23 Cup of Nations campaign against Mali on Sunday, November 29 before battling Egypt on Wednesday, November 2 in Mbour and three days later play their final group B match against Algeria in Dakar.
Oliseh will be leading the home based Super Eagles team to next year’s CHAN and he has revealed that he is ready to select players from the U-23 team for the tournament.
“We have a very good crop of players that participated in the qualifiers, but we are still open to bringing in new players to make the team stronger,” Oliseh told Complete Sports.
“We are also looking at the possibility of selecting players from the U-23 team.
“Our target is to win the competition, if we must achieve that, we have to go to the competition with our best players.”
