Nigeria finished second at CHAN 2018 in Morocco following a 4-0 loss to host in the final.
After a host of postponement, Buhari finally hosted the team at the State House, Abuja on Wednesday.
It was a day the President dedicated to Nigerian sports as he also received the 2018 FIFA World Cup trophy which arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday during its worldwide tour and also hosted the Bobsled and Skeleton athletes who made history by being the first Nigerians to compete at the World Cup. r

Salisu Yusuf’s men played six games; they won four, drew and lost one each.
They started their 2018 CHAN campaign with a draw with Rwanda before wins over Libya and Equatorial Guinea in the Group stage.
In the quarter-final, they beat 2-1 before a 1-0 win over Sudan in the semi-final.
Everything, however, fell apart in the final as they werethrashed 4-0 by host Morocco.
