Stanley Dimgba should be selected for Super Eagles' World Cup Qualification games
Since being let loose by Stellenbosch in the South African DSTV Premiership he has slotted into the first team like a seasoned professional.
One of Dimgba's main weapons is his electric burst of speed and frightening turn of pace. Raw and unrefined, there is a frenetic, almost roadrunner style, about the way he tears up and down the left flank and is part of what makes him both so enjoyable to watch and so difficult to defend against.
Typically hugging the left touchline and giving Stellenbosch plenty of width, his fleet of foot helps stretch the opposition by either isolating the full back or getting in behind the defense.
Experienced winger Stanley Dimgba is fast, powerful and direct, and most of all he has an end product.
Before joining the modest South African side, he was menacing for Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League and the continent.
So many players from Chidera Ejuke to Ahmed Musa had problems in their early years with adding an end product to their games. Dimgba looks to have nailed it already.
Critics would suggest Chidera Ejuke is yet to master it, but given his equally dynamic display, perhaps Dimgba's breakthrough is also bringing out the best in the CSKA Moscow winger who had a great display in the win over Cape Verde Islands and Central African Republic.
The former Enyimba poser boy deserves a chance in Nigeria's upcoming games in the month of November. Beyond the Qualifiers is a realistic goal.
Competition for wide berths is tough, Moses Simon, Ejuke, Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze, Henry Onyekuru, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Kalu and even Kelechi Iheanacho could be played wide.
But Dimgba has shown enough to suggest he can add something different. There is often a breakthrough star at every Qualifiers with Nigeria. The next two games against Liberia and Cape Verde could see Dimgba have a say.
