Former NBA star, Anthony Mason survives heart attack

Three days ago, former New York Knicks star, Anthony Mason was taken to the hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack.

The 48 year-old later had four surgeries to correct the congestive heart failure.

Fans and teammates sent out well wishes to the former forward.

His son afterwards wrote in a statement, appreciating ‘’everyone’s support’’

'My family and I appreciate everyone's support this week, and we are grateful for all of the prayers and well-wishes for our father, Anthony Mason.

'Our father is now in stable condition and continues to receive expert medical care here in New York as he recovers from his medical procedures.

'Please continue to keep him in your 'thoughts and prayers.'
