These are sad times for the family of Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasir El-Rufai. The prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost his son today in a car accident.
The unfortunate incident is said to have occurred in Abuja and the news was broken by the former minister himself via Facebook.
He said:
“From Allah, we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufai who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja.”
This comes after the death in London of El-Rufai's eldest daughter, Yasmin on November 26, 2011 after a neurological attack and the death of his brother and nephew in October last year.
May God grant the family fortitude to bear the loss.
