Australia will have to make do without Adam Ashley-Cooper for the remainder of the Rugby Championship as the winger is set to fly back to France for club duties with Bordeaux-Begles.

Ashley-Cooper featured in the Wallabies' Bledisloe Cup defeats against New Zealand last month to take his tally of caps to 116, but will play no further part in the competition.

The 32-year-old revealed after the defeat in Wellington last weekend that his availability for the Wallabies would be reviewed.

Bordeaux president Laurent Marti had made no secret of the fact that he was not impressed with Ashley-Cooper's decision to continue playing for his country and the veteran is due to link up with the Top 14 club in the coming days.
