According to her she met JJC before she was 18 at one of the many underground clubs in London at the time. She recalled seeing JJC perform and was immediately wowed by his talent and creativity. After introducing herself to JJC she spent months at his studio and watching him create music.

JJC's work ethic inspired her to produce her own song. Later on Destiny Amaka was called by JJC to do backup vocals on the JJC & 419 Squad album. It was at this time she met Don Jazzy and D'banj.
