Many years ago, there were more house/landowners than renters.

This is probably because things were cheaper and easier then.

Now, there is hardly any street without a rented building.

Despite this list and the myth that renting is cheaper than building/owning a house, the latter is the better option.

In the long run, building a house is cheaper than renting.
