Onazi spent five seasons at the Serie A side before his summer move to Turkish top division club, Trabzonspor.

The midfielder is being owed some outstanding wages which he reported to FIFA in October and the world football governing body gave the Italian club until Tuesday, November 29 to pay.

FIFA have now given Lazio extra 10 days to pay the midfielder.

Lazio asked for a 20-day extension to FIFA’s deadline with claims that they struggled to translate Onazi’s letter from Italian to English.
