19-year-old Nigerian player gets offer from LA Galaxy

The midfielder is having trials with the team ahead of a potential move.

Nigerian young star Moshood Abiola Oladele has reportedly been offered a professional contract by MLS giants LA Galaxy.

Moshood, an attacking midfielder has been in the United States since late January and is currently training with the second team of LA Galaxy.

The midfielder is having trials with the team to see if he can put his professional football career on track.

Accompanying him on his trip to the United States is, Mr Emmanuel Akporobaro of  Droom Soccer, a football management company based in Lagos.

It was the at one of Droom Soccer’s  quarterly open trials that Moshood was first discovered.

“Moshood is truly a young player with precocious talent and I believe he can excel if he remains focused, our scouting team were impressed with his performance during our last open trials and we decided to give him this big chance,” Akporobaro said in a statement.

This opportunity is a chance for Moshood to fulfil a dream of kicking off his professional career.

“I have always wanted to play football and this is an opportunity to begin my professional career, a dream come true,” the youngster said.

“I used to follow LA Galaxy when played here and now, I am training here, this is a huge feeling and I hope to tie-up a contract with the club.”
