The 26-year-old is not formally suspended by club or governing body but could miss the rest of the season during the investigation, with his participation at Euro 2016 also now in doubt.
He sat out Liverpool’s 2-2 home draw with Newcastle United on Saturday, April 23 but was all smiles as he arrived training in his car.
The defender has until Tuesday to request for his B sample to be checked in an attempt to challenge the first test.

Should the second sample confirm the failure of the test, or should he chose not to contest the results, Sakho could face a ban of anywhere between six months and two years.
