There is no major change from the current strip. The numbering looks different and there is also a buttoned-style collar complete with gold trim to create a simplistic design.

Apart from these two changes, the New Balance remains the same with the current strip.

Standard Chartered remains the main sponsor-written across the front centre.

Fans who attended the release were given wristbands, meaning they will be entitled to free name and number printing on their new strips.

Fans would have to splash £50 on it and an extra £5 for the long sleeved version.

“I think it’s nice. There’s a few different things. The side vents are meant to help us cool down - but that’s not working right now,' he joked as the weather showed no signs of relenting,” Henderson said.

Liverpool will now turn their focus to the Europa League final next week against Sevilla.
