The Cavaliers (30-20) appear to have turned the corner after an indifferent start to the 2014-15 season, winning 11 games in a row to sit second in the Eastern Conference's Central division.

Cleveland have claimed the scalps of the Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers during their winning streak.

And such is the determination keep the team going in a positive direction, James said he would sacrifice his place in the Cavaliers' starting five.

"It's all about the team and for me being the leader of the team, it doesn't matter," James told reporters on Wednesday.

"Whatever this team needs in order for us to win, I'll come off the bench. I'm serious. I'll come off the bench. If it helps our team, that's what it's about, man.

"It's about a team and how we all fit together, how the five guys on the court fit together, how the eight guys or 10 guys on the bench all help the guys that are on the floor and so on and so on.

"So, sacrifice is the biggest word in team sports, but it's not about saying it. It's about doing it, as well. It's about living it."

James is averaging 26.2 points, 7.4 assists, 5.5 rebounds and four blocks per game for the Cavs this season.
